Word table help

Remove a large blank space before a table row

A half-empty page often means Word is keeping the next row together. Show formatting marks first so an ordinary page break outside the table is not mistaken for a table problem.

Check the affected row

In Table Properties → Row, allow the row to break across pages. Remove an exact row height, especially when the cell contains several paragraphs.

Check the first paragraph

Open its paragraph settings and disable “Page break before.” Also inspect “Keep with next” throughout the row: a chain of kept paragraphs can force all of them forward.

Check automatically

Word Table Rescue identifies these structural settings without uploading your DOCX. Font availability and printer settings can also change pagination, so review the result in the same Word environment.
