Stop a Word table jumping to the next page

First determine whether the whole table moves or only one tall row. That distinction points to different settings.

If one row moves

Allow that row to break across pages and remove exact height. Check its paragraphs for “Keep with next” and “Page break before.”

If the whole table moves

Set table text wrapping to None. Then inspect the paragraph immediately before the table; a page break or keep rule there can move the table as a unit.
