Word table help

Word table won’t split across pages

When an entire row moves to the next page, Word is usually obeying a row or paragraph rule—not running out of room by accident.

Allow the row to break

Select the row, open Table Properties → Row, and enable Allow row to break across pages. If the row has an exact height, change it to “At least” or clear the height.

Check paragraphs inside the cells

Select the cell text and open Paragraph → Line and Page Breaks. Turn off “Keep with next” and “Page break before” unless they are intentional.

Still stuck?

Repeated-header settings and floating table positioning can also interfere. Run Word Table Rescue to review these hidden settings locally. Keep your original and inspect the repaired copy in Word.
